Victoria Evans is a contemporary artist with a background in the film and television industries. She graduated with a Masters Degree in Fine Art Practice (Sculpture) from Glasgow School of Art in 2015 and completed a SGSAH/AHRC funded practice-based PhD project, Transcorporeal Soundings: Explorations of the Phonocene through Contemporary Art Practice, at Edinburgh College of Art in 2026.

Victoria’s artwork has been exhibited in the UK and abroad and her writing has been published in peer reviewed journals and several online art platforms. Her grant awards, commissions and residencies include: Hospitalfield in Arbroath; VACMA in Glasgow; Talbot Rice Gallery, Inspace Gallery and Creative Informatics in Edinburgh. Victoria won a commission to make a short artist’s film for LUX Scotland/ BBC Arts which was broadcast on BBC Four. Internationally, Victoria has shown at SNEHTA gallery in Athens, the Gaia Centre in Galicia, Spain and at the Valletta Society for the Arts in Malta.

Victoria’s Practice-based research engages with science and philsophy to ask what alternative ways of knowing might become possible through attuning our senses differently. She works speculatively across a variety of media, including film, sound composition, creative writing, print and installation, to configure artistic encounters that resonate across more-than-human scales of experience.
